Rye Creative Centre in New Road, just across the River Rother from Rye Town Centre, with its resident artists, exhibition space and theatre is busier than ever in the run up to Christmas.

This weekend sees the Winter Salon exhibition with over 80 artists previewed this Friday November 24 from 2pm to 5pm and then open during the following weekend’s Festival of Delights on November 25 and 26, and then from Wednesday to Saturday between 10am and 2pm until December 9. At other times the exhibition may be seen by appointment.

The Festival of Delights,  November 25 -26 from 10am until 4pm features festive designers and makers along with community entertainment, music and creative workshops. Expect to find ceramics, jewellery, handmade clothing, glassware, paintings and cards among the many stalls on display.

And shortly afterwards the Creative Centre’s theatre features the pantomime “Jack and the Beanstalk” on various (but not all) afternoons and evenings between December 9 and 27. Tickets are available from the centre, online and from Rye Heritage Centre and Grammar School Records.
