Lion (2016) [PG-13] 118 minutes, Friday July 7, doors 6:30pm for 7pm start
When Saroo, a five-year-old Indian boy gets lost on the streets of Calcutta more than a thousand miles from his home, he is frightened and lonely and too young to identify himself or his home village. He manages to survive on the streets until he is accepted into an orphanage. In due course he is adopted by an Australian couple and grows up there in a caring family environment. But, as he gets older he increasingly feels the need to try to trace his family in India. A heartwarming story with that feel-good factor.

Rye Community Centre, Conduit Hill, Rye, tickets are £5 at the door and there is a licensed bar.
