Hazards in the High Street

Dear Sir

There has recently been a proliferation of “A” shaped boards in the High Street and I have noticed several disability scooters and also wheelchair users having some difficulty in getting along the pavements. Our pavements are really quite narrow and I don’t understand the need for this sort of advertising outside a shop or a restaurant. Surely it is fairly obvious from the window displays what they are selling. I also wonder who is liable should someone have an accident involving one of these boards – the local council or the shop owner?
