The Spice Kitchen is ready to offer great tastes

Talking to Robbie Hollands at Rye Spice Company in Rye Harbour Road, I felt his excitement at the changes that are taking place. The plan is to link up the existing spice shop with the newly built kitchen (very modern from what I saw this week) and invite people to taster days in a new area where they can eat and drink.

These events are a great way for anyone to come and see what is on offer in the shop (herbs, pickles, chutneys, jams, oils, hand crafted wooden gifts and more) as well as enjoying some tasty food and a glass of wine while picking up recipes, all complimentary.

While the space for eating and drinking linked into the shop area is not totally ready, Robbie is inviting everyone to taster days this weekend, on February 27 and 28 between 12 noon and 3pm. He says he will provide scallops, prawn pate, smoked salmon and bread from the Lazy Baker. It all sounds delicious and well worth the journey.

The grand re-opening of the spice shop with its additional “eatery” will be Easter weekend March 26- 28 between 12 noon and 3pm. Robbie is planning a curry feast and there will be seating areas where one can linger in while appreciating quality foods. For any further information you can call 01797 225 015/224 422.
