Join Camber’s spring clean

Camber parish council is participating in the Great British Spring Clean 2019 on April 6 starting at 10am in the central carpark.

You can register as a volunteer on the Keep Britain Tidy site entering the event name, Camber Parish Council and location, Camber, East Sussex and the village clerk will then be notified. Or you can contact Councillor John Bradford directly at john.bradford@camberparishcouncil.org.uk

In addition to the council’s own equipment there are promises for more gloves, litter pick-up poles, hi-vis tabards, refuse bags and the carrying hoops from Keep Britain Tidy, Rother District Council and local groups. So you will have what you need but do feel free to bring your own if you prefer. At the end of the morning Kier, the refuse contractors, will be collecting the bags.

The Gallivant has kindly offered to provide refreshments for all at the end of the litter pick, which is expected to be about 12:30pm.

  1. Just a quick note to thank you for posting this article, and to confirm that the start point is in central car park where the coastguard’s office is and not western car park that is pictured, just in case people see the picture and turn up there instead.
We look forward to seeing you all on the day.
