The Agria Pet Insurance Dog Walk 2019 is set to unite thousands of paws across six countries, all on one day! Agria’s aim is to bring together those who share our love of dogs, to help raise funds for some wonderful rehoming organisations who support dogs in need of forever homes. This year’s event will be taking place simultaneously in Denmark, Finland, France, Norway, Sweden, and Camber Sands!

Come and join us for a circular walk along the beach and the edge of the golf course on Saturday May 25 at 11am. For more information please visit the website.

For every dog who takes part, Agria Pet Insurance will donate £5 to the walk’s chosen rehoming organisation. Agria would like as many dogs as possible to take part and help raise funds for these great organisations.

The good news is you don’t have to persuade family and friends to sponsor you, all you need to do is bring your dog for a walk! Our dogs need walking every day, so why not walk with us on Camber Sands while at the same raising money for charity?

The proceeds from the Camber Sands walk will go to DoodleAid, www.doodleaid.com, a UK registered charity that re-homes and supports owners who find themselves in the difficult situation of having to give up their poodle cross dog (Doodle), often in very sad and unfortunate circumstances. The charity regularly provides foster care for these dogs before they can go to their forever homes, supporting them with best veterinary and behavioural care, all of which can be very expensive.

Sarah McAllister from DoodleAid said “we are so grateful to Agria for sponsoring this wonderful event and everyone who joins the walk. We are a small charity making a big difference to Doodles in need, one dog at a time. Every penny raised will go directly to the dogs in our care. There are other ways to support us, such as becoming a volunteer foster carer or a home checker.

DoodleAid has a special connection to Rye, two of their recent rescue dogs have been re-homed by two members of The Camber Sands Doodle Friends group, a group of 300+ members who can be regularly found walking their ‘Doodles’  along the beach whatever the weather!

Please join us and support this special charity, for more information and an application form  go to the Camber Doodles website
