Business Forum tackles crime

Crime Reduction is the theme of Rye Area Business Forum’s fourth meeting on Thursday September 28.

Inspector Dan Russell from the Rother District Neighbourhood Policing Team will talk about crime in retail premises. Matt Southam , an independent computer expert, will follow on the subject of cyber crime and how to protect against hacking for online businesses.

Run by volunteers, the Forum aims to help local businesses and sole traders to learn about new business issues, lobby as a collective voice and link with other businesses in a free networking environment.

The forum is free to attend but the organisers request intending participants to send advance email to ryeareabusinessforum@gmail.com They say:”please come along with plenty of business cards, and support the town’s business forum and join on Facebook @ryeareabusinessforum.

Forum venue: The Whitehouse, High Street at 5:30 for 6-7pm, September 28.

Perphaps Inspector Russell under the freedom of information act,can enlighten the people of the town,how many crimes of burglary from businesses, and vans have been reported and solved,in this town,as I have been told it’s becoming too frequent,and people are not amused, at the lack of police presence in the town.
