Fire caused extensive damage to one of the bungalows in Parkwood, off Rectory Lane, Iden, a couple of days before Christmas. The emergency services were quickly on the scene and the elderly lady occupant (who was given oxygen after inhaling smoke) and her dog were led to safety.
Four appliances attended – two from Rye, one from Broad Oak, and one from Hastings
The property and the empty attached bungalow adjacent are owned by Optivo Homes Ltd., one of the largest housing providers in the UK, and a member of the G15 group of London’s largest housing associations.
