The Tilling Green Summer Fete kicks off on Sunday July 5 11am-3pm at the Tilling Green Community Centre, Mason Road. This year Tilling Green Residents Association (TGRA) has joined forces with Ferry Road Nursery in organising the fete.

TGRA secretary Donna Lake said “this may be the last summer fete on such a big scale due to the site being redeveloped so we hope this will be an event to remember. This year we wanted to make it as special as possible so we have decided to hold it on the Sunday so mums and dads that work on a Saturday can come along and enjoy it. We are hoping it will be a real family occasion.”

The fete is being opened at around 11am by Rye’s mayor Bernardine Fiddimore.

There will be live music from the Rhythm Doctors, bouncy castles, soft play, BBQ, a beer tent, sweet and sour stall, pony rides, stalls by run by various groups including Amicus Horizon who will be bringing along a bungee run as well as joint stalls run by TGRA and Ferry Road Nursery volunteers.

There will be a grand raffle with prizes donated by local shops and other attractions in the area.  This year we will have 3 live dance displays from Rye Dance Centre, Splitz and Step Up And Dance.

Come along and join in the fun.
