Young creative hair designer India Sparacia, has just won a prestigious regional award having entered her very first collection of hair designs.

Recipient of the Sussex Salon Creative Image of the Year, India, aged just 21, beat off other experienced designers with her image Blue, part of her Modern Rebel collection. She is also one of just eight in the team of Club Star Art 2019 Fellowship of British Hairdressers, a prestigious organisation that represents the crème of British hair stylists.

No stranger to entrepreneurship, India is the daughter of Karen and William Sparacia of Sculpture Salon in Rye, who have created revolutionary new ways to colour hair and a colour range that have gained global patents. They have taken their products worldwide through exhibitions, trade shows and educational workshops.

Following her schooling at Frewen, India spent two terms at Rye Studio School before being offered a place at the world-renowned Vidal Sassoon’s in London, aged only 17, where she learnt new techniques and creative ideas. She now incorporates these with lessons learnt from the family business as she builds an extensive client base her in Rye.

This bright, creative young spark is a real asset to the town and one we will be hearing much more from in the not too distant future.
