Do you get on with people, like to learn something new and want to give something back to the community? Then being an Advisory Council member may be for you.

Formed in 2013, the Aquinas Trust is a Church of England multi-academy education trust of two secondary and nine primary academies situated within Bromley and Rye. It is committed to mutual support and respect in pursuit of educational excellence for children and young people, educating the whole person.

The Aquinas Advisory Councils (AACs) provide an exciting opportunity for individuals with skills and commitment to support our academies at a local level. By being a member of an AAC, not only will you provide head teachers with advice, support and expertise, acting as a valuable sounding board for new ideas/initiatives, but you will also ensure that the academy retains its unique characteristics and links with the Rye community.

It is now looking to appoint AACs at both Rye Community Primary School and Rye College. Applications are welcome from all who wish to support the schools, especially those with finance, estates, marketing or PR experience. Full training will be given.

If this sounds like you, then contact Barry Blakelock, Executive Headteacher (office@ryeacademytrust.org) for more details or visit the Aquinas website for an application form.
