Heritage Centre delays

“The Rye Heritage Centre trustees have been reviewing the latest guidance from the government to assess what our future actions should be. At the forefront of our minds is the safety and wellbeing of all of our potential visitors, staff and volunteers” says Simon Parsons, chair of the trustees.

“The current social distancing advice makes our planned opening of the Heritage Centre on April 5 neither sensible or socially responsible. So the trustees have therefore regrettably decided to delay the relaunch of the centre and the town model until such time as is sensible.

“We shall take the opportunity to continue working hard in the background to develop and improve the centre and model and to raise funds for planned projects. We are confident that with your continued support we will ride the storm and when the time comes to open our doors again we will be in a position to present an enhanced and enjoyable experience.

“For now we extend our very best wishes to all of you during these challenging times and look forward to moving in a positive direction in due course.”
