The view of Romney Marsh across the Salts from the ‘Look Out’ on Hilders Cliff is greatly obscured by the growth of shrubs on the slope above Fishmarket Road.
Following complaints from holiday makers, a call to Rother District Council has elicited the information that “We plan to carry out work to the reduce the height of the trees along Hilder’s Cliff in the next few weeks, subject to permission for traffic management being granted by the highway authority.” One can only wait and see.
