Parking posts vanish

Passing the western car park at Camber on November 19, I noticed that all the metal signposts and all the meter equipment had been removed from the grass parking areas. The access gates were closed and locked all day.

It appears that for the winter months, only the hard surface area to the immediate right of the entry gates will be in use. Two meters were there, one of them hooded, which has been reportedly out of commission from the first day. Also remaining were several of the tall metal posts, advising the necessity for pay and display plus a sign stating that “parking appeals cannot be dealt with on site”.
