Recruitment drive at Pontin’s

The Rye  Partnership Rural Employability Project is currently working in partnership with Pontin’s management team to host a recruitment day, on Tuesday January 27th from 10am to 3pm, at Camber Sands looking to fill 25 vacancies at the leisure park.  The event will give job seekers the opportunity to complete application forms and light touch interviews will take place on site, to short-list candidates.

Job vacancies include fast food assistants, receptionists and Service Support Officers. For people interested in outdoor and practical opportunities, there are vacancies such as a grounds operative, a handyman and chalet cleaners to give you a chance to exert your skills! The rural employability project continues to offers employers support with local recruitment  and also offers work club services, and employment support at Tilling Green Community Centre. The project, funded by the Department of Work and Pensions, works in close partnership with Jobcentre Plus to improve the employment prospects for local people living in the rural area. Amber Ablitt of Pontin’s Camber Sands said  “We are thrilled to be working with Rye Partnership Rural Employability Project and feel that it helps many people to find work in the area. This is an on-going partnership, and we have recruited many excellent members of staff through this relationship. We would like to thank them for their support and we look forward to working with them to find many more excellent staff!”

Pontins have been successfully providing fun-filled family stays for over 60 years and has recently been undergoing a multi-million pound refurbishment, which is on-going and now offers an additional number of chalets and facilities for guests. Activities available include trampolining, go-karting, swimming and crazy golf as well as darts, snooker, pool and the skate park: Pontin’s offer something new and exciting for all!
