In one of only a handful of games to survive the weather, the 2nd team of Icklesham Casuals were looking for an improved performance in their league match at home to West Hill United last Saturday after defeats in their previous two games. However, the first half began in the same manner and only a solid defensive display from the Casuals back line made sure no goals were conceded early on.

As half time approached the performance began to improve and Lee Pierce gave the side the lead shortly before the break. A much better second half saw Icklesham dominate the ball but struggle to find the second goal. It was Sam Garner who made it 2-0 and the Casuals were then awarded a penalty but failed to convert this. Despite creating and missing further chances the match finished with a 2-0 win.

The 1st team were without a match but are back in action this Saturday with a difficult fixture away to Bexhill United II in the quarter final of the Hastings Junior Cup. The 2nd team have another home league game when they take on Sedlescombe Rangers III.
