Two cup semi-final defeats in two consecutive weeks left Rye Town with no opportunities for silverware this season.

Town were thrashed by six goals to nil by Sedlescombe Rangers on Saturday March 2.  A very disappointing performance from Rye, who are the current holders of the ESFL Premier Travel Chauffeurs Challenge Cup, and a dramatic cup tie versus away to Robertsbridge, that saw the two teams finish two apiece at the end of 90 minutes and three goals each after extra time, it is Robertsbridge who find themselves in the final of the Robertsbridge Intermediate Cup winning the penalty shoot out by 3-1.

The only high note of the past fortnight was the birthday celebrations of  SJ Henham (Tekkers) and club captain Barnaby Osborne.

Saturday March 16 and Rye Town entertain Sedlescombe in their final home fixture of 2018/19 at Rye Rugby club, kick off 2pm, the match sponsor is R & J Cooper Bespoke Pallets.

Which leaves the final three games of the season away to Bexhill Town, Northiam and Hawkhurst.
