Well done David Greenwood and Barry Goodsell who have just completed an epic 600km Audax (long-distance) ride. A “self support and navigate” bike ride, they left Battle, East Sussex, at 6am on Sunday July 22, tracked north to Gravesend and caught a passenger ferry across the Thames from Tilbury up to Coggeshall.
The gruesome twosome then tracked West to St Albans and ending up in Oxford for the night.
Monday June 23 saw the pair setting out at 4:30am and heading to Winchester-Titchfield-Storrington, then back to Battle for tea and medals and a well-deserved beer before an early night. Chapeau chaps. I mean, look at a map to see what an achievement this was.
