Congratulations to Rye Town FC for winning the ESFL Premier Travel Challenge Cup Final on St Georges Day at The Pilot Field overcoming a very good Northiam 75 side.

Town Captain Tekkers collects the trophy

In a close encounter the game could have gone either way, but it was Town who took their chances and along with them the trophy.  Alfie Weller opened the scoring for Town on the half hour and Sam Richardson put the game beyond Northiam’s reach with Town’s second in the 79th minute for a 2-0 victory.
It was a fitting finale to Towns superb cup run and they fully deserved to bring the trophy home.
Rye Town’s man of the match was Joe Ramsden and the game sponsor was Tom Jebb Decorating Services.
Now needing to win their last 4 games of the season to secure 3rd place in the East Sussex Premier League, Town find themselves away to Hawkhurst this Saturday April 28, kick off is at 3pm.  The game sponsors are Tony Hailey Country Services LTD & Log Deliveries.
