Town’s first defeat at new home

Rye Town’s unbeaten run at their new home at Rye Rugby Club, came to an abrubt end on Saturday November 3, with a crushing 4-1 defeat.  Sidley United were the visitors and their performance gave them all three points and chasing third position in the East Sussex Premier League.

Rye Town’s only goal of the game came from Barnaby Osborn. The Rye Heating Man of The Match award went to Steve Thompson.  The match was sponsored by The Mermaid Inn. This defeat leaves Town in sixth place and in need of a winning streak to push them up the table.

Their next game is on Saturday November 10 at home to Hawkhurst, 2pm kick off. The match sponsors are EW Production Services Ltd.

Rye Town then travel to St Leonards Social on Saturday November 17 with a 2pm kick-off this match will be sponsored by Pete the Pane Window Cleaning.
