Icklesham Casuals 1st team picked up a point in a 3-3 draw with Little Common II at the Recreation Ground last Saturday but it felt like two points dropped having twice led by two goals.

The side started well and took the lead on 20 minutes when Steffan Davies followed a smart turn with a close range shot and increased the lead 10 minutes later when Phil Badrock tapped in after a miss kick by the Little Common goalkeeper.

The Casuals led 2-0 at the interval but Little Common got back into the game 3 minutes into the second half and looked the better team with Icklesham conceding possession too easily. However it was the home team who increased their lead when Badrock finished following a long ball and fine dribble. Little Common reduced the deficit 5 minutes later and then pressed for the equaliser which came with 4 minutes remaining following a string of corners.

A weakened 2nd team lost 4-0 away to a decent Bexhill Broncos team who played fast football.

This Saturday, March 4 Icklesham host Northiam 75 at the Recreational Ground.
