DESCRIPTION:The Bridgepoint Ensemble is joined by ‘The Renaissance Man of classical music’ (Classical Music Magazine), Matthew Sharp, for an eclectic evening, demonstrating his versatility and all-round musicianship. In the first half of the concert, Matthew will sing with the string quartet accompanying him in Schubert songs, Mozart arias and a little Jaques Brel.\nIn the second half, Matthew will take his cello and join the quartet for a performance of the piece that Artur Rubinstein referred to as being a depiction “of the entrance to heaven”; Schubert’s Quintet for Strings.
