DESCRIPTION:You are invited to an illustrated talk on Dale Chihuly. If you think you haven’t heard of this foremost glass artist, you may still be familiar with the wonderful “Rotunda” chandelier in the V & A Museum, this was created by Dale Chihuly.\nDale is an American artist whose glass structures led to a resurgence of interest in this medium. He studied different art forms at various universities. Notably at a university in Wisconsin he studied glassblowing under Harvey Littleton, who is considered the father of the studio glass movement in the United States. He worked and studied at Venini Fabrica, the renowned glassblowing workshop in Murano near Venice.\nThe Chihuly Garden and Glass is a museum in the Seattle showcasing the studio glass of Dale Chihuly. The talk to be given by Charles Hajdamach will give you greater insight into his various famous works.\nCharles Hajdamach, an accredited Art Society Speaker, is one of the top authorities on glass in the country.  He also lectures internationally to glass museums and collector’s societies.  In addition, he is also well known as an author of many books on the subject of glass through the ages.\n
