SUMMARY:Richard Adams – Rye’s Edge Exhibition
DESCRIPTION:Rye’s Edge – Private View on Saturday the 29th April 11am – 1pm\nThis show is a celebration of Rye’s rich periphery.\nTo the north, ancient countryside, mysterious paths and bridleways\nand evidence of, once thriving, hop farms.\nTo the east the ominous marsh with it’s thousand year old churches\nand massive skies.\nWest is Winchelsea. A fraction of the Town it once was.\nBursting with history.\nSouth is the edge of the sea. Crumbling cliffs, petrified forests, Rye Harbour and the restorative power of a walk on the beach.\nAnd always, across the fields, topped by St. Mary’s, the comforting hump of the old town.\n
