SUMMARY:“Creative Homes For Creatures” Informational Crafting Workshop
DESCRIPTION:The Rye Community Food & Wildlife Garden is expanding our wildlife area and we’d like to adorn it with creative and artistic habitats for all the little critters that make a home there: bees, birds, bats, owls, butterflies, etc.\nWe’re holding a community-wide contest to find the most original and artistic creature homes to become permanent fixtures in our garden.\nFREE INFORMATIONAL CRAFTING WORKSHOP! Saturday, 12th August 2023 13:00-15:00\nHeld at the Rye Community Food & Wildlife Garden at the end of Love Lane in Rye \nLucy Bowyer, Senior Communities and Wildlife Officer at Rye Harbour Nature Reserve, will educate us on local creatures and what habitats are needed; Louisa Crispin, Wildlife Artist, will share artistic perspectives on creature homes; and Barry Parsons, local craftsman & hobbyist will lead the actual crafting of houses for attendees who would like to build one.\nBasic supplies (wood, nails, screws, etc) and tools (hammers, saws, drills, etc) will be supplied.
