Twice a year we run Big River Watch weekends – a simple citizen science activity that helps build a picture of river health across the UK and Ireland.\nOur spring Big River Watch will be from 3rd – 6th May 2024.\n\n\n\n\nOur rivers are far from healthy. They’re polluted with sewage, plastic, chemicals and nutrients, and just 15% of river stretches in England are in good overall health ( https://theriverstrust.org/report ). This isn’t good enough.\nWhen it comes to restoring our rivers, we need even more information about how they’re doing. You can help us identify and locate the issues.\nSo whether you’re a swimmer or a paddler, an angler or a rambler, a wildlife spotter or a sit-and-watch-er, download the app and complete the quick survey today!
