DESCRIPTION:Head Gardener Fergus Garrett will lead this Study Day held at Great Dixter House and Gardens. Refreshments and lunch are included, served in the Great Hall and we are offering a 10% discount on plant sales for attendees in the nursery on the day.\nDiscover the secrets of meadows using the marvellous Great Dixter meadows as a case study. You will be taken through the process of creating and maintaining a meadow looking at various meadows within the Great Dixter estate as well as considering the crucial role they have to play in creating a mosaic of habitats to support biodiversity. Includes slides and talks and sessions in the meadows.\nThe garden sessions will look at the meadows as they move into their late- summer phase. Fergus will discuss timing of cutting and the process of cutting and hay strewing at this critical time of year.\n
