DESCRIPTION:As we head into a new season, Rye Lawn Bowls Club is soon to hold its Annual Open Day – and you are invited.\nThis is your opportunity to ‘give it a try’, be it your first time on the green, maybe new to Rye, or just want to start playing again.  Come along at 2.00pm, wear flat shoes (casual dress) and we’ll provide the rest.\nYou may be aware, that Rother Council removed all funding and support for this long established local club, but the members have ‘stepped up’ and are undertaking self-management of the clubhouse and green, on The Salts.\nLast year’s Open Day attracted a lot of interest.  In addition to many who were keen to play, we signed up quite a few social supporters, all of whom have got us this far.\nAt the Open Day, current members will be present to ‘show you the ropes’, and to explain the changes to the club, since we ‘took over’ management.  We still need more new members, both playing and social supporters, so please come and join us.\nSee you on the green, on Sunday 27th April.\nIan Scott – Club Secretary …\nImage Credits: Ian Scott .\n
