    MAIN PURPOSE OF THE ROLE

    To be an effective team supervisor in our Jempson’s Kitchen brigade. Supporting Jempson’s mission statement and aims and to offer our customers excellent fresh meals from our production Kitchen and exceptional meals and customer service in our restaurant.

    Hours: 8.5 hours per day (excluding breaks) over 5 days (will include most Saturdays)

    MAIN TASKS AND RESPONSIBILITIES (in no particular order)

    Assist the Head Chef to run and develop the Jempson’s Kitchen under the Jempson’s ethos

    Ensure all staff are active & focussed in their duties for productivity

    Ensure excellent standards of customer service are achieved with the aim of gaining repeat business

    Deputise for the Head Chef to cover days off and holidays

    Adhere to all hygiene regulations

    Ensure high standards of cleanliness in the kitchen, restaurant and external dining areas

    Ensuring all team members are working to their job descriptions and in a timely manner

    Follow Company and Government regulations on labelling

    Ensuring stocks used from the store are recorded correctly

    Completion of HACCP and Compliance Check sheets

    Maximise sales by advising customers of current offers and upselling

    Help to minimise shrinkage in the business.

    Assist the Head Chef to ensure the smooth day to day running of the Jempson’s Kitchen

    Work to Health & Safety guidelines, including manual handling and safe working practice

    Ensure all staff are recruited and inducted correctly

    Flexible in hours worked to ensure staff cover gives best customer service at all times

    Be able to cover every section of the Jempson’s Kitchen

    Carry out other duties as needed and when requested by the Head Chef

    Motivate and encourage team members to achieve goals
