Children at Peasmarsh Church of England Primary School created a picture to enter into a competition run by the Diocese of Chichester. All children worked together in Forest School to produce a large scale scene from the story of Noah’s Ark using wood and natural materials. Animals were then added using recycled materials. We were pleased that the sun shone all day and the ark stayed on dry land!

Peasmarsh CE Primary School has its own Forest School within the grounds so the children use it continually. We have trained Forest School leaders. We are very lucky! The scene was created on Monday March 13 and was approximately 15ft square. It is still there at the moment although the animals were taken in to be kept for display inside the school. Parents were invited to see it that afternoon.

The competition is judged by the diocese and closing date is March 31. The winners will be on display at various venues (to be confirmed) . It is inspired by  ‘Year of the Bible’ so we entered the category titled “bible stories”.
