Stalls make a colourful display

The annual fund raising sale took place this year outside in the churchyard by the war memorial. There were a reduced number of stalls compared with a normal year. Among old favourites were the cake and soft toy stalls interspersed with bric-a-brac and prize-incentivised guessing games to win a bottle of wine or some concealed scent or perfume.

The rows of second hand books proved the usual attraction, this year with DVDs an additional draw. One innovation was the finely constructed ‘splat the rat,’ at which not only the youngsters tried their skill.

As always, the event was welcomed as a chance to meet with friends one may not have seen for some time.
