For the first time in quite a few years, Beckley is opening some of its best-kept beautiful gardens on Sunday, July 9, from 11am to 5 pm

Eight gardens will be open to the public in aid of Beckley and Peasmarsh Parish Churches. A £5 admission fee covers all eight. Buy your ticket at the first garden you come to and use the map provided to locate all the others. There will be balloons on the front gates to help you find them quickly. Four of the gardens are located in Main Street. Toilets will be available at Beckley Village Centre.

Gardens range from family-friendly to huge grounds, copse areas, parkland, shrubberies, herbaceous borders, parterres, arches and trellises, formal gardens, veg plots, terraces, orchards, water garden, towering oak tees and a 200-year-old larch – you name it, Beckley has it! Come along and find inspiration for your next outdoor project or just enjoy the wonderful aromas of a summer’s day in a tropical walled garden.

Teas, a plant stall, tennis and croquet can be found at Woodgate, Church Lane, Beckley.
