Cheap Sunday parking

I’ve never really noticed or bothered to read the car parking pay and display signs at Jempson’s in Rye until today but, when I did, I was pleasantly surprised.

As the sign says, if you need to dash in and grab a few essentials, as long as your visit does not take more than 30 minutes, parking is free. If you’re doing a ‘big shop’ which takes up to 2 hours, parking is £2.50 – but fully refundable if you spend more than £10 in store.

Jempson’s as a store is closed on Sundays, but their car park is open, and parking all day (I presume that means 24 hours?) is only £2.50, which makes it one of the cheapest car parks in town.

With so many tourists and paying guests arriving at the moment let’s spread the word as I’m sure many may not be aware of this great opportunity and, with parking this cheap, it may encourage those who might normally park where they should not, to park where they can.
