Following our recent article on the Country Show, the organisers have now been able to issue more details:

The Rye and District Country Show on Saturday August 19 at Elm Tree Farm, Icklesham, TN36 4BH (on the A259) returns by popular demand. The show includes traditional horse and dog shows, a Classic Car show, country crafts, food and drink, Country Living marquee, a silent auction, children’s games, live entertainment and The Hospice Retail on the Road team will be there too.

“We really appreciate all the hard work by the Show Chairman, Jenny Yeo and her dedicated hardworking committee for all the months of organising they put into the Show. Also thanks go to Kit McLean and Phil Merricks for hosting this fantastic family day out at Elm Tree Farm.”

New for 2018 is a Grand Raffle, benefiting three Sussex charities, St Michael’s Hospice, The MacMillan Horizon Centre and the Sussex Cancer Fund. We are delighted to announce the raffle first prize is a brand new Citroen C1, other amazing prizes include a trip for two in a hot-air balloon trip and Kite Surfing (with instruction) at Camber Sands. “We would like to thank Wilmoths: Citroen Dealers for their wonderful support,” said Perdita Chamberlain, Head of Income Generation at St Michael’s Hospice.

Raffle tickets are now available for sale in all St Michael’s Retail Shops and at the Hospice reception as well as venues across the catchment area. The car will be popping up at the following venues throughout July and August; Jempson’s in Peasmarsh, Rye Market, the Roaring 20s event in Bexhill on Sea, the Elm Tree Boot sale and the Hospice’s spectacular fun run, Colour the Coast in Alexandra Park, Hastings. With a chance to win a brand new Citroen C1 and have a fun filled day for all the family, the organisers hope everyone will come along.
