Former residents of Cinque Ports Street, Simon and Tamsin Crouch, have launched a new farm food business that delivers to Rye.

Farm Shop Box (FSB) provides home deliveries of fresh, top quality produce from the farm, sea and orchard. The business, based at Willetts Farm in Chiddingly, near Lewes, was set up using Simon’s network of contacts made during his years in the restaurant and hospitality sector. The idea is very straightforward: you select the fresh products you want, book a delivery, and prepare to cook. FSB do the picking, procuring and packing and deliver the food to your door.

If you need any suggestions to help create a slap-up meal in your home, FSB has a range of recipes to follow, and offer Recipe Boxes containing all the necessary food, spices and other ingredients. In addition to meat, poultry, fish, seafood, cheese, dairy produce, and seasonal fruit and vegetables there are Roast Dinner boxes, Breakfast boxes, Lite Bites and Summer Dishes. FSB also offer artisan breads, cakes and a range of pies.

As well as providing the nutritional, health and environmental benefits of consuming locally-sourced fresh produce, the business also supports local farmers and producers and boosts our regional economy.

To see the full range of foodstuffs available, order some fine grub or plan a sumptuous meal, visit the FSB website. Orders must be made no later than 2pm two days before the relevant delivery day. Delivery is free for orders over £19, otherwise a charge of £2.95 is made. Happy dining!
