Barber Matt Judge is delighted with his move to larger premises in Rope Walk Shopping Mews and the ground floor location of his new salon Divide is good news for the elderly and anyone requiring disabled access.

Since opening his salon on the first floor of the Mews, Matt has established a loyal clientele who benefit from his 16 years’ experience of cutting hair. On Saturday December 2 Matt relocated downstairs and took the opportunity to rename his business Divide. The barbershop is conveniently sited next to the Cattle Market car park and is open from 8am to 5pm from Monday to Saturday. Divide’s rates are £10 a cut, with senior citizens and children under 16 charged £6. A beard trim costs £4, a cut-throat shave is £8 and a full head and throat shave is £12. Divide offers a loyalty card so that after five haircuts, the sixth is free.

With the festive season just around the corner the new salon has opened at just the right time for the male population of Rye to treat themselves to a smart cut for Christmas. There are special opening hours for the week leading up to Christmas when Divide will stay open until 7pm. And for those gents who leave things to the last minute or who want the freshest looking cut on Christmas day, Matt will be opening on Christmas Eve until 3pm.

Divide is located at Unit 10, Rope Walk Shopping Mews , Rope Walk, Rye, TN31 7NA. The Mews has its own café and toilets.
