Fundraising community walk

Following the successful Community Walk held during 2020, the Rye & Winchelsea Rotary Club are organising a Community Walk for Sunday May 16 this year – and the walk will be about 9 miles long between Rye and Winchelsea. And the walk is not a race – you go entirely at your own pace.

When does it take place?  You can start walking at any time from 9am to 11am on Sunday May 16, starting from Channon’s Country Store in Rye Cattle Market.

How do I enter?  Register on the day or get an entry form or sponsor form by email at ryerotary@gmx.com .

How much does it cost? We ask for a donation of £10 (adults) and £5 (Under 16), payable on the day. If you’re also raising money by sponsorship then this year, 100% of the sponsorship raised will go to your chosen charity. Just ask your sponsors to fill out one of our sponsorship forms

Covid-19 Once again, we will not be able to provide refreshments along the way so please ensure you take supplies and water with you. Walk in small groups of no more than 6 people, unless family members – and please respect social distancing rules at all times and make sure you have fun on the day.

All of the funds you collect will go to deserving local charities such as the Rye Food Bank, Rye Community Transport, and The Friends of Rye Wurlitzer – to name just a few.

I do very much hope you’re able to join us on May 16 for a gentle walk between Rye and Winchelsea.
