Late summer evening opera

On Saturday, September 4, Rye Harbour Sailability were delighted to host an evening of opera at Winchelsea New Hall, where they were privileged to welcome Paul Hopwood, Thomasin Trezise and Philip Smith from Glyndebourne and the Royal Opera House.

Their performance of some of the world’s best loved opera arias and musical songs delighted the audience.

The bar was organised by Charles Palmer Vineyards who also provided a complimentary glass of English sparkling wine for everyone. The wine flowed and the canapes, provided by Blackbird Catering were delicious.

Huge thanks go to Jen and David Tomkinson who organised the event which resulted in the amazing sum of £1,900 being raised for the charity. Thank you to local businesses who supported the event by donating stunning raffle prizes, and everyone who came to support  it on the night. Special thanks go to the residents of Winchelsea who helped set it up .
