St Michael’s Hospice will be opening doors to health care professionals on Thursday September 6. The Nursing Open Day has been designed to give local healthcare providers the opportunity to learn more about the Hospice, meet our multi-professional teams while providing attendees with a great opportunity to improve their knowledge in understanding palliative care.

Jo, In-Patient Sister said “I joined the Hospice as a newly qualified nurse, completing a number of educational courses which enabled me to progress to Sister. Showing compassion, honesty and respect to our patients, we continually strive for excellence and are always looking for different ways to improve our services.  Providing holistic care and spending valuable time with patients and their families allows us to support them during the last days of their life and help them live well until they die”.

St Michael’s Hospice provides high quality, responsive palliative care and bereavement support across Hastings and Rother, working collaboratively with other to improve end of life care for all.
