Pride in local policing

At the “meet the Rye News team” open meeting last Saturday, we were asked to provide more information about policing in our area. It was encouraging to learn that Sussex police have arrested a Hastings man, Reuben Nelson, who has been remanded in custody until he appears in court later this month charged  with a number of offences including breaking into Ethel Loves Me and Craft Magic on Rye High Street.

This is a great result for Sussex Police and a comfort to local traders. When sentence is decided, Rye News will publish an update but until then, I thought it appropriate to publish the Sussex Police precept for 2022/2023 taken directly from a flyer which arrived on my doormat yesterday (Tuesday) which I’m sure most of you will also have had but if not, here it is.

Details of the Sussex Police precept
