Troy Smith, Head Gardener at Sissinghurst, will be giving the Winchelsea Garden Society Winter Lecture on January 20, writes Kenneth Bird.
Five years into the job, he speaks of inheriting the garden creation of Vita Sackville-West and Harold Nicholson, which they began in the 1930s, now the property of the National Trust.  He gave this talk last month at the College Club of Boston, US. Date and time: 2:30pm, January 20. Venue:  Winchelsea New Hall. Tickets at the door £5  (members £3).   Photo: Clara Molden
