Roadworks, rubbish and delays

In amongst all the usual junk email and ‘special offers’ I can’t seemingly afford to live without, I received the attached in my in box this morning and for those who might be affected I thought it useful to share the content verbatim.

Dear Mr. Nick Forman,

Please be aware due to SGN gas works taking place on Bexhill Road, Hastings, there maybe some significant disruption to all collection schedules this week and next. The roadworks are causing long delays for the collection vehicles to tip at the household waste site located on Bexhill Road. These road works are programmed to take place from 19th October to 27th October.

If your whole road does not receive its usual collection please leave your bin(s) out and we will look to collect the following day. If you are unsure if your whole road has been missed please report a missed bin we will ensure a crew return to collect your bin(s).

Thank you for your assistance in this matter.

Kind Regards,
Rother District Council

  1. This is anti-social behaviour and a real ‘blot on the landscape’.
I would suggest that the only way to stop this situation is to install CCTV to find out who the offenders are.
