The Music Well is delighted to be working in collaboration with the Rye International Jazz and Blues Festival over the Bank Holiday weekend.

The Music Well is proud to be the Jazz Festival’s chosen “good cause” this year and is delighted to be given the opportunity to put on two free interactive workshops in the Community Centre on Conduit Hill on Saturday, August 24. Anyone with a desire to join in and have fun with a musical workshop will be welcome.

The first workshop is led by Yair Katz who is a registered music therapist. It is a fun, playful and interactive workshop all about percussion led by Yair and is suitable for all ages and abilities. Come along and experience what The Music Well does and get involved!
Please come along to the Rye Community Centre after 11:45am for a midday start.

The second workshop will be run by Marian Ham, who is a retired Primary Headteacher and Music specialist, and is a fun workshop focusing on group singing which is aimed at children aged 6 to 12 years old and their families. It is suitable for all abilities.

The songs are from ‘Ye Ha’ a Wild-West-themed musical so come along, join in and wear your cowboy hats and checked shirts if you wish!

Please come to the Rye Community Centre ready for a 2pm start.

Each workshop will last about an hour. There will be some refreshments available. Please come along and join in the fun and learn more about the work of the Music Well. And don’t forget, the workshops are free!
