Moonlight and Memories Walk 2022 – early bird tickets on sale now

Celebrate life, love and friendship, and remember loved ones at St Michael’s Hospice’s annual Moonlight and Memories Walk, on Saturday, September 10. The 10k sponsored walk will take you by the light of the moon from the hospice in St Leonards on Sea, down Filsham Road to the seafront, along the bicycle path to Galley Hill and back again to the Marina. From there, you will make your way up past St Leonards Gardens, following the route to end at the hospice, where you will be invited to place your memory lantern in the gardens. Take time to pause, reflect and remember your loved ones and enjoy a post event supper. Early bird tickets are on sale now (until July 31) at www.stmichaelshospice.com/moonlightmemories

Rye and District Country Show 2022

Returning to Elm Tree Farm in Icklesham on Saturday, August 20 is the popular Rye and District Country Show. From 10am – 4pm, come along and enjoy a fun family day out, with a horse show, dog show, classic vehicle display, country fair and much more! Entry is £5, free for under 16s. This event is kindly hosted by the Rye and District Country Show committee in aid of St Michael’s Hospice. Retail on the Road: Donation drop-offs

If you have some good quality, sellable donations sitting at home, why not bring them along to one of St Michael’s Hospice’s donations drop-offs on various dates between July and August? All donation drop-offs will run from 10am – 12pm and the hospice’s Retail on the Road team will be accepting clothes, shoes, accessories, small items of bric-a-brac and small items of furniture.

Please note there is limited capacity available in the van, therefore they may have to leave the donations drop-off locations before midday. Arrive early to avoid disappointment.

Donations drop-offs in Rye and Peasmarsh will take place on Wednesday, July 6 at Jempson’s Rye, Thursday, July 21 at Jempson’s Peasmarsh and Wednesday, August 17 at Jempson’s Rye.

Wedding favours now available from the St Michael’s Hospice Lottery team

The St Michael’s Hospice Lottery team are delighted to be able to offer their supporters the chance to buy scratch card and pin badge wedding favours, to add a touch of fun to their celebration tables. The wedding favour holders and envelopes come in white or Kraft, with a hospice scratch card attached, for just £2 each. Alternatively, you can buy scratch cards without the holders and envelopes for just £1 each, or St Michael’s Hospice pin badges are available for a suggested £1 donation. The wedding favour holders feature a red heart and the phrase “Lucky in Love”.
