Sun comes out for hospital fete

Warm sunshine brought out the crowds of locals and visitors to the Rye Hospital annual  fete, giving people a chance to see what is going on at the hospital and its plans for the future. Local MP Amber Rudd opened proceedings, which included lots of attractions for all the family with games, stalls, music, teas and ice creams.

The donkeys proved particularly popular with patients and visitors of all ages, and Rye Town Boxing Club brought their ring and showed the skills of their promising young boxers.

It was a great day out for the family, as well as an opportunity to raise funds for the hospital’s exciting new projects.
