The Sara Lee Trust is inviting runners and supporters to join its half-marathon team to help raise much-needed funds for the charity.
The Trust supports more than 600 local people each year who are affected by cancer and other life-threatening illnesses, through the provision of free psychological and therapeutic support.
It is also the dedicated provider of end-of-life counselling and complementary therapy services to patients of St Michael’s Hospice (St Leonards-on-Sea) and the Rye, Winchelsea and District Memorial Hospital.
The charity is aiming to raise £5,000 to help support an additional 50 people this year across Hastings and Rother and it needs your help to achieve this goal.
By joining Team Sara Lee and taking part in the Hastings half marathon, which takes place on Sunday March 18, you will receive fundraising support from start to finish, a Sara Lee Trust running vest and a cheer team on the day. There will also be a team fundraising page on JustGiving, which you will be able to share with your friends – this means you don’t have to worry about an individual target.
If you would like to join Team Sara Lee, the Trust would be delighted to hear from you. Please book your place at www.hastings-half.co.uk and contact Nikki Hawes at the Trust on nikkihawes@saraleetrust.org or call 01424 457969.
