August Cricket Week

Next week, Rye Cricket Club is hosting a cricket week. On Monday, August 2, the club is hosting a fixture of experienced players to remember two former players, Rye Cricket Club president and former player David Dee and former Rye and Iden cricketer Ian Addy. The game will mark the official commissioning of the defibrillator on the Rye pavilion, and to raise funds for the Bone Cancer Trust.

On Tuesday, August 3, Rye entertain the MCC in a game starting at 11:30am. A clash of two of the oldest clubs in the world, the MCC is of course, the junior.

Wednesday, August 4 and Thursday, August 5 afternoons, Rye entertain Linden Park and Mersham Le Hatch respectively. The bar is open all week, with barbecues on each evening.

During the mornings of Wednesday / Thursday / Friday there is a softball camp for 7-10 year olds at the Salts. On the Friday evening, August 6, Rye Dynamos play Robertsbridge at 5pm and after a final All Stars / Dynamos game at 6pm, there is a presentation evening at 7pm.
