Rye Cricket Club’s winter programme is under way with adult nets at Ark Alexandra in Hastings on Friday nights at 7:30pm and on Sundays at Rye Sports Centre at 4pm for adults. Junior coaching is running on Thursdays at Rye Sports Centre 5pm-8pm with over 40 young people involved.

In addition, thanks to funds provided by The Ted Baker Trust, the Rye Fund and Active Rother, Rye Cricket Club is offering two Easter cricket camps at Rye Sports Centre. The camps will be on Wednesday, April 15 between 10am and 3pm (softball) and on Thursday, April 16 between 10am and 3pm (hardball).

The days will be all about fun, and developing cricket skills for boys and girls. The softball day is a good way for boys and girls to try out cricket for the first time, with the emphasis on playing games. The hardball day will be more focused on developing cricket skills.

The focus of the days is flexible and will be developed in line with the age / skills of those who sign up. The cost is £20 for the day. There are funds available for those to whom the cost is a barrier to participation. All applications are dealt in strictest confidence.

To join the cricket camps please message Martin Blincow via blincsfamily@aol.com or 07535 482006. Payment is required prior to the day. This can be by cheque made payable to Rye Cricket Club, or by BACS, details provided on application. We look forward to welcoming both new and existing young cricketers.
