Garman double just the tonic

Saturday November 17 and Rye Town FC back to winning ways.  An excellent away win at St Leonards Social saw Town pick up a valuable 3 league points.  Dom Cruttenden was Rye’s man of the match for the second week running and having a fine season.

St Leonards Social took the lead in the 18th minute, however, Town replied swiftly and a brace from Andy Garman with goals in the 26th and 31st minutes respectively was enough to secure a 2-1 win.  The match sponsor was Pete the Pane window cleaning services.

There were two birthday celebrations at the club this week,  many happy returns to Richard Hibbs and Charlie Stevens.

This Saturday November 24, Rye Town FC play Hawkhurst at home in the ESFL Premier Travel Chauffeurs Challenge Cup.  Town are the current holders of the trophy and will face a stern test from Hawkhurst.  Kick off is at 1:30pm at Rye Rugby club.  The match sponsors are The Mermaid Inn, Rye.
