Rye: 115/4
Hastings 4s: 65 all out

Rye’s second game in the indoor cricket league was against Hastings 4s at Horntye. Good knocks from Hammy 29 and Dan 25 both retired, with Wincy, Lovell and Wheeler chipping in with teens. Much better running this game, making good use of the drop and run. One of the highlights was Dan falling on his arse after trying to ping the back wall. Fielding was again a weakness though with most and, I can speak personally, there with overthrows, dropped catches and poor fielding along the back wall. However, the inspired bowling change of Hammy after the opening partnership of Smeed 0-12 and Wincy 1-20 saw Hammy get figures of 4-9!

Good win overall lads! Let’s keep it going in two weeks’ time.

Team: Dan Seabrook(WK), William Wheeler, Joe Lovell(Capt), James Hamilton, Gary Willis, Harry Smeed
